How often should I service my Gas Appliance?

We follow Energy Australia recommendations of a minimum of every two years to service your appliance.

Do you provide a warranty for your service?

Yes, 3 months from the service date.

What does a yellow flame indicate?

A yellow flame indicates incomplete combustion of gas generally due to a blocked venturi and strongly recommend a service call to rectify to avoid Carbon Monoxide production, sooting and breakdown of the unit.

How do I know if my appliance is leaking Carbon Monoxide?

Carbon Monoxide is Odourless/non-visable so hard to detect. If you suspect your appliance is leaking Carbon Monoxide, you should turn your appliance off, ensure it is not in use and you should book a service call immediately. Our qualified technicians will use a calibrated Carbon Monoxide detector to measure the emissions. If your unit is found to be leaking Carbon Monoxide above the Australian Gas Regulations, your unit will be cut off for safety.

Is there an additional service call out fee when you return to fit parts?

No. Your parts will be fitted based on Continual Time (15 minute blocks) as well as the the cost of the part only.

Do we service cookers?

Yes but we highlight we only service cookers and not clean them.

How often should I clean my ducts?

Duct cleaning is recommended every two years but certain variables may indicate you should get your ducts cleaned more often for example:

  • Heavy Foot Traffic
  • Indoor Pets
  • Condition and age of duct work
  • Renovations
  • Living near busy roads
  • Smokers in household
